Exciting news to report – we’ve been
selected to present at the monthly ‘NY Tech Meetup’ on Tuesday 8/5 @ 7
PM 18th street
The five minute shpiel is going to
be pretty straight and to the point about what we do (make teeth fast for
dentists all around the city and Triststate area) – I think (hope!) the crowd
will dig the tech aspect of it.
So..if you think you can
come:
1 Check out the page for the event:
http://newtech.meetup.com/1/calendar/8258293/
2 Make a Meetup account right
now
3 I believe that if you ‘subscribe’
to the mailing list for NY Tech Meetup you will receive a message when the extra
spots open up
4 RSVP when the spots open
up
5 Come on down on Tuesday
night

Seth feels the dentist's unique marketing pain (but he makes the case that it's not that unique to dentists) - nobody wants to know about you until their teeth hurt.
In this post, he provides some suggestions on how to 'be there' when the time comes for people to be ready to hear your message - and he also suggests new services that get you 'front and center' in between those times.

Standard shading works very well in most cases, but matching a tough shade, especially on an anterior tooth, can require several attempts and multiple return patient visits. One dentist called in MobileTek Labs to handle just such a case quickly and conveniently.
We arranged in advance to be onsite for the patient’s visit and worked with the team to match the custom shade – it did take a couple of attempts, but the patient was very happy that she didn’t have to return for any more visits. And the dental team was happy to move on to the next case.

Well, after asking around a bit on DentalTown and some other online forums, we've decided to proceed with a 'You Design It, We Mill It' service so that dentists can try out EMAX restorations without making an upfront investment in the oven and associated gear.
For folks in our mobile lab service area (NYC, Westchester County, Bergen County NJ and Fairfield County CT), we will mill and deliver directly in person within 2 business days. For those outside our service area, we will get your EMAX restorations into the mail within 2 business days.
We've already done this with a couple of CEREC docs and it's worked out great - if you have any questions, just give me a ring at 917-747-7519 or email me at david at mobileteklabs dot com.
More to come...

Sometimes dentists ask us,
“What will the patient do while you are making their restorations?” One simple answer is, “Send them back to
work!”. Patients can come in to the
office before work and have their restoration seated on their lunch break. Or
they can be prepped at lunch time and seated after the workday has ended. Patients enjoy the flexibility and
convenience of getting their restorations in one day. And they are likely to spread the word to
their co-workers.

Hi folks - it's been about 4 months since my last post - that's OK though - means I've been too busy which is a good thing - will do my best to post more regularly/
The impetus for this post is a new magazine being put out by the erstwhile folks at CERECDoctors.com - it is their premier issue and it's got lots of good information about the many possibilites for making the most of CEREC - with features on EMAX, CEREC Connect and a couple of great interviews and case presentations, it's a great first effort and I encourage you to check it out - it's available here in PDF format.

Exciting stuff! - MobileTek Labs has gotten some coverage in Dental Lab Products magazine, one of the top mags in the dental lab industry - they ran a big feature on how labs are preparing for an 'All Digital Feature' and our mobile approach is highlighted in a 'sidebar' box accompanying the article (along with a pic of the van and an 'action shot' of Marisa on the CEREC)
Check out the full article or you can just skip to our mention about halfway down this page under the heading 'A New Twist in The Road For Dental Technology'.
Enjoy.

NOW! that I've got your attention, I want to point you to our new patient-facing brand and website - www.NOWSmileDesign.com - it's still in the early stages, but it's a good start for getting out the word out about the NOW! Dentists and NOW! procedures that we are powering though MobileTek Labs. (which also has a little redesign action of its own).
Both sites will be great platforms for reaching and educating two different audiences - patients and dentists. Please check them out and pass them along.
Also, keep your eyes peeled for more blog posts - there is a lot to catch up on - we're picking up steam, we have a lot of events coming up (for dentists and patients) and we have been featured in a couple more media outlets - dontcha dare miss it.
